Achievement of high CDP 2015 climate change score

Symetal (foil conversion plant) has openly responded to the CDP’s 2015 questionnaire requirements, achieving a high Disclosure score and a Performance rate above the CDP supply chain average. Each achievement rewards Symetal’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the business risks of climate change.
 
CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) is a non-profit organisation which cooperates with shareholders and businesses to disclose the greenhouse gas emissions of major corporations. It is the biggest worldwide platform for submitting reports regarding climate change. CDP’s supply chain program encourages exchanges of best practices between companies and their suppliers.
 
Responsible environmental management is one of Symetal’s core values. The Company is committed to environmental protection which is incorporated in its strategy and achieved by comprehensively managing the environmental impacts of its operations.
 
Our commitment to responsible environmental management and protection is actively proven by: implementing a certified Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) in our production plants; building an ecological culture among our people; making significant investments in new technologies on an annual basis for environmental protection; implementing specific systems, procedures and programs for pollution prevention; carrying out actions to reduce our environmental footprint.
 
Symetal has been reporting to the CDP’s supply chain program since 2014 by filling out and submitting the corresponding questionnaires to the CDP platform.
