Transition to ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management standard for Symetal's Foil Converting Plant

In February 2020, Symetal’s Foil Converting Plant received certification for compliance with the new ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management standard, issued by the licensed certification body TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) after demanding evaluation process. The new ISO 45001:2018 standard replaces the previous OHSAS 18001:2007 standard, currently the most widespread for Occupational Health and Safety Management. 
 
Symetal recognizes the importance of health and safety in all its activities and makes every possible effort to achieve and maintain the highest standards of accident prevention. The Company’s commitment in the field of Occupational Health and Safety is to establish a working environment free of risks, injuries, accidents and occupational diseases. In this context, ISO 45001:2018 certification confirms excellence and good practices and puts special emphasis on prevention systems and on Symetal’s commitment for the development of a culture of prevention and continuous improvement in this field. 
 
The transition to the new ISO 45001:2018 for Symetal’s Foil Rolling Plant will have been completed by the end of 2020.
