Symetal was awarded a Gold Medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Ratings assessment, ranking among the top 5% of companies rated by EcoVadis worldwide over the previous twelve months.

 

Symetal achieved an overall score of 84 out of 100, improving on the score of 80 received in the previous assessment. The EcoVadis Gold Medal reflects the quality of the company's sustainability practices and demonstrates its commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain.

 

EcoVadis, recognised globally for trusted business sustainability ratings, uses a robust sustainability assessment methodology to evaluate how effectively a company has integrated the principles of sustainability into their business and management system. The assessment focuses on four key themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The methodology is built on international sustainability standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000.

 

In addition to its own assessment, Symetal has established a strategic partnership with EcoVadis to evaluate its main suppliers on sustainability matters, as part of its Responsible Sourcing Initiative.
