Symetal wins Silver Award at the “Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2022”, organised by BOUSSIAS
On November 1st, Symetal was honored with a Silver Award during the “Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2022” ceremony, organised by BOUSSIAS and held at the Sofitel Hotel. For the fourth consecutive year, the awards reward the excellence of businesses of the Greek industrial sector in the areas of ingenuity, business acumen and development through digital and green transformation.
Specifically, Symetal was distinguished in the “Investments & Strategy” section – “ESG (Environment, Society, Governance) Strategy” category for the certification of its operations according to the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) Performance Standard. Fedon Paraskevopoulos, Quality Assurance & Sustainability Manager (Foil Rolling Plant - Oinofyta, Viotia) and Gabriela Hatzistratidi, Quality Assurance & Sustainability Manager (Foil Converting Plant - Μandra, Attica), accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Upon receiving the Silver Award, Fedon Paraskevopoulos stated: “We are proud to offer innovative aluminium foil solutions, fully embracing sustainability and ESG principles, which are a core issue for Symetal. The certification of our operations at Oinofyta and Mandra plants according to the ASI Performance Standard confirms our utter commitment on responsible production and sourcing.”
For her part, Gabriela Hatzistratidi added: “The certification of our production facilities according to the ASI Performance Standard also reflects the efficiency of our procedures and methods on environmental protection, social responsibility and corporate governance towards our employees, our business partners, our customers, the society and all our stakeholders.”
